I am a 40 something women who is married to a 40 something man named Tim. I am the mother of Rob (16), Jon (13), and Danny (11). I am also one of the step moms of Samantha, called Sammie (21). I have a BSN from Indiana University School of Nursing and an Associates of General Sciences Degree from Marian College (now Marian University) in Indianapolis, Indiana. I presently work at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis-which is part of Indiana University Health (I.U. Health) in Indiana. I work full time (8 hr shifts, 5 days a week) as a Circulating RN in the Neurosurgical and Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery area of the Main OR, and really love it! (Written in 2010)
As of July 2017, I am now a 52 year old women, who is still married to Tim (26 years), Rob is now 22, Jon is now 18, Dan is now 17. I still work for IU Health but no longer work in the OR. For the past 5 years (started March 26, 2012) I have worked in the Neurology Dept in the Movement Disorder Clinic as a Movement Disorder/Deep Brain Stimulation(DBS)/ Duopa pump nurse. I really love it! I wrote a blog post about it a couple of years ago.
